Tulip

Tulip came to us as a foster cat in November of 2007 because she was very, very ill. We were not even sure she would survive and it required months of nursing care in our home, before Tulip started to feel better. Once she did, her personality started to bloom. She was very sweet, liked us and our dogs, but she did not like the company of other cats. So, as much as I wanted to keep Tulip, I began the search for a special indoor home, that would love her and care for her as much as we did. Finding a good indoor home for an adult cat is not easy. Sadly, in this world there are more wonderful cats needing homes, than there are homes available. Also, many families want to adopt kittens and do not realize how special adult cats are. And to top it off, the home could not have another cat. So, finding Tulip a home, that would fulfill all of her needs, was not going to be simple. Last summer, I met a wonderful family, who needed some pet sitting services and they had previously owned cats. When I approached them about possibly adopting Tulip, they agreed to give her a chance and see how she adapted to their busy family life. It was amazing to see Tulip blossom and reveal her personality, once she was in her new home. She was even more affectionate, playful and funny than we knew! She loves her new family and feels right at home with everyone. So, 'Thank you, Thank You, Thank you!' to the wonderful family that opened their hearts to Tulip and gave her a 'forever' home. To Carol, David, Caleb and Jonah, your kindess, care, compassion and love for Tulip, is more than I had hoped for. I know Tulip will be safe and loved for all of her life. Terry |
